During June28th to 30th, Professor Zheng Ruoling attended an academic conference called“Education for the Countryside: Interrogating Social Mobility and Urbanization”whichwas hold by faculty of education in the University of Hong Kong and Wah ChingCentre of Research on Education in China. This conference set several topicsincluding social mobility and class reproduction, education of rural migrantworkers’ children,reflection on urbanization,etc. Professor Zheng made a report named“Fair Appeal and Difficulties of College Admission Policy for MigrantChildren:A Case Study of Shanghai” and triggered aheated discussion.
